We highly recommend leading boiler brands, e.g Ideal and Vaillant to keep your home warm, as they offer 12 years, complete warranties. We do, however, deal with all the major boiler marques. On your behalf, we can take care of registering your warranty, providing aftercare, annual servicing, and Gas Safety tests.

Our Workmanship
Do you need a 28 kW or a 36 kW boiler? For our customers’ peace of mind, ATB guarantees our work against faulty workmanship for 12 months. This will be clearly explained at the time and annotated on your invoice. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask.
Materials
Materials and parts supplied by ATB Plumbing & Heating are covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee and, or warranty. This guarantees replacement or repair of faulty goods within a period of 12 months. These guarantees are legally enforceable. This is in addition to your rights as a buyer, which should be made clear in the guarantee at the completion of the boiler installation.

Do you charge a call out fee?
No, we do not charge call-out fees. We charge a 1-hour minimum charge and then in 15-minute units. Moreover, rest assured that ATB engineers are fully qualified and insured to undertake all your central heating work. How quickly can you get to my house in an emergency?
In an emergency, we aim to be with you within the hour subject to distance (20miles) and traffic.
What can I do if I am suffering a leak in my boiler?
To help minimize water damage to your home, and in the first instance, until we arrive, we advise you to turn off your mains water supply at the stopcock that is usually located under the kitchen sink.
What marques of boiler do you install?
We can advise you on the boiler that is best suited to your system and, of course, your budget. However, we do have extensive knowledge and experience with the leading marques; Vaillant, Ideal, and Worcester Bosch boilers.
What do you do during a gas boiler service?
Our full detailed gas boiler service would include the following procedures:
- Carry out the service as advised by the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Run the boiler and check for any gas leaks.
- Check and adjust for the correct gas pressure and flow rates.
- Carry-out a flue combustion test.
- A full inspection of your boiler and its controls.
- Visually check for any corrosion and water leaks.
- Remove and clean the burner (where necessary).
- Check the pilot burner and all probes and cables
- Clean both the heat exchanger and flue-ways.
- Clean out the boiler condensate trap.
- Check for the correct ventilation.
- Check all electrical connections.
- Finally, we run the boiler to check flue effectiveness and functionality.
I have heard of 'Power Flushing'. What is that?
Power flushing is a system deep clean of the ‘sludge’/’gunk’ that builds up over time in your heating system. The system flush clears out this ‘sludge’ making sure your radiators heat up properly and there are no cold spots.
This helps to increase the life of the boiler/heating system, thereby keeping heating bills down and reducing the risk of any boiler breakdowns.
The filter within the boiler is normally replaced during the ‘Power Flush’ as this filter is designed to capture most of the ‘sludge’.
At ATB Plumbing & Heating we only relace the filter if required and only use ‘Magna Clean Pro’, magnetic filters.
Are ATB engineers fully trained and 'Gas Safe' registered?
